A lot of guesswork is involved here and only a speculative punt on NADDWAH is recommended. Qaraaba has the benefit of a couple of runs and is likely to be supported for that fact alone. However, she did show improvement last time and has to make the shortlist in a race like this. Similar comments apply to Lost Horizon, who represents the Richard Hannon/Ryan Moore partnership. Again, Hannon's filly ran well in defeat last time out and only needs to step things up a notch to have a chance of making an impact today. Others of interest include Scorn and Sweet Clementine, who both team up with top jockeys and are sure to be given every chance of making a winning debut. However, it's Naddwah that gets the nod on this occasion. Pivotal is one of the most versatile sires of the moment and, being by a Dubai Millennium mare, the paddocks value of Naddwah will be boosted no end if Frankie Dettori gets a good tune from her today.
