In depth

Verdict

Montparnasse would appreciate firmer ground than this although he will appreciate the drop back in trip. Crocus Rose has won before on her only appearance here and she appears to handle cut so could play a part. LETHAL GLAZE has a good record on soft ground and won last time out. He is raised 6lb for that success but receives our nomination now he appears to have found the winning formula again. Isobar won when last seen on the turf but is 14lb higher than that successful mark. Dakiyah and Hevelius are consistent performers but neither tops the honours often enough to inspire confidence. The biggest threat may come from It's A Date who won here when last seen and is two wins from three starts at the course. However, the testing ground off a career high mark is not in his favour and we tentatively side with Lethal Glaze.
