Verdict

LEAN MACHINE looks to set the benchmark for the rest and he gets the vote over Cafe Greco and Valiant Knight. The selection finished second in a maiden on his debut at Newmarket when he chased home Silver Grecian. He had to race on the outside that day as he was not well drawn and under the circumstances it was a good effort. That race has worked out quite well and it will be disappointing if he can't win this today. Valiant Knight is Richard Hannon's other runner here and the market will be a guide to his chance on his racecourse debut. White Dart and Blakey's Boy are other newcomers who catch the eye on breeding and if either were supported then they would have to enter calculations. Cafe Greco also shaped with promise on his debut when he finished second here behind Lord Zenith, but he was six lengths behind and he will need to find some improvement to get the better of our choice Lean Machine.
