Verdict

Richard Hannon has won this twice in recent years, including with the top class Dick Turpin, and Avonmore Star has to rate highly but he could struggle to concede 5lbs to GOODWOOD TREASURE with Chevise possibly best of the remainder. John Dunlop looks to have a smart performer on his hands in Goodwood Treasure with the form of her debut second at her local track looking pretty decent form with the winner, Memory, going on to be successful in two Group races. She fulfilled the promise of that run with a ready victory over the same course and distance and, although the form of those behind her on both occasions may not be exceptional, connections have already mentioned the possibility of stepping her up to Pattern Company and she should be able to take this race before taking that step up in class. Avonmore Star was unfortunate to bump into a good one over course and distance last time and shouldn't be underestimated whilst Wotsthehurry has claims on a literal reading of his Warwick win and Chevise receives plenty of weight and is entitled to come on for her debut but ready preference is for Goodwood Treasure.
