Verdict

This looks the easiest opportunity to date for CLOWANCE HOUSE and assuming he copes with the forecast quicker ground he can see off newcomer Talimos. Roger Charlton's charge has three starts under his belt now and is officially rated 79. He was slightly disappointing last time when fancied to run well at Newbury, but the extra furlong here may play to his strengths and a repeat of that run may be enough in this weaker race. The two newcomers Comprimario and Talimos rate as likely dangers. John Dunlop's Montjeu colt cost 70,000 guineas and is related to winners on the continent, whilst Talimos is out of a very strong stayer and the feeling is that this trip may prove to be a bare minimum even at this early stage of his career. Of those to have raced, the majority need to step up by some margin on what we have seen, although improvement can be expected of Googoobarabajagal. Although not the easiest to pronounce, Stuart Kittow's gelding is expected to improve for the step up in trip and we may not have seen the best of him yet. This looks the best opportunity yet for Clowance House to bring home the bacon.
