In depth

Verdict

A competitive bumper to round off the day but ROSS LIMESTONE gets the nod. A promising third at Ballinrobe in May 2007, he wasn't seen again until last month when producing an excellent second to Mackeys Forge on the same track. Nina Carberry's presence on Esporao will ensure support for Gordon Elliott's charge, a close second to The Grey Express at Ballinrobe when he stayed on stoutly at the finish. Talab looked a decent prospect when runner-up to Flat Out at Listowel in September but was well beaten when tried over 2m3f at Nass where the heavy ground didn't help. He can prove that run all wrong and get involved while Greenbelt Star ran very well behind Fantasy King at Punchestown and is the type to make further progress.
