Verdict

GOLDEN KITE won this a year ago and Adrian Maguire will have him tuned up to complete the double. He had just over a length to spare over Jamsie Hall and can confirm the form on similar terms as a recent run over hurdles will have sharpened him up. Another veteran, Prince Rudi, arrives in winning form having gained a very easy success at Tipperary though the assessor has hit him with a massive 12lb rise. But he's still lower than his hurdles rating so has to be considered along with Rivage D'Or, who gained his first victory since 2012 at Kilbeggan last weekend and has the excellent claimer Kevin Sexton on board. Forever Gold scored over 2m5f here last month and was only narrowly beaten despite finishing sixth over hurdles at Listowel last week so looks a threat to all.
