In depth

Verdict

Kilkishen's Gowran victory could be given a boost by Cecil Corbett in the previous race, though this is a stiffer task. BALLYCHORUS (NAP) won over fences last time but her second to Little King Robin over hurdles at Bellewstown last year could hardly have worked out better and she can revert to timber with another victory. Duckweed just failed to concede From Frost a stone at Gowran and has an obvious chance of going one better, despite a 4lb rise, though the runner-up hails from an in-form yard and will be fancied to reverse the form. Coldstonesober has never won over this far nor has Steel King, though the latter is progressing and should be suited.
