        Verdict

        Springheel Jake won on his handicap debut at Southwell in November and returns off a 6lb higher mark while Dutch Rose landed a maiden at Catterick last week and will need to step up on that form here. Endless Applause finished a creditable third on her reappearance at Nottingham and should be capable of better but it could pay to stick with top weight HENRY BEE. Richard Fahey's charge has a couple of recent placed efforts to recommend him and given this looks easier than his latest task at Thirsk, he gets the nod to open his account.
