Verdict

Petella looked to have a good chance at Pontefract last time but folded tamely. She'll need to bounce back here to get involved but did finish ahead of the frustrating Kodicil when scoring at Doncaster in June. Ravi River won a handicap hurdle at Cartmel on Saturday and could figure if in the same mood but Beverley third Grammar rarely runs two races alike and Raleigh Quay is usually worth opposing. The ex-Irish MISTER CARTER was third to Strikemaster, who runs in the first division, last time and looks to be on the way back. His yard is going great guns at the moment so the six-year-old gets the nod.
