Verdict

Alaskan Knight was fancied to do much better than he did at Musselburgh and the fact that we haven't seen him for over two months suggests that something was probably amiss on that occasion. Genuine Quality failed to build upon the promise she showed in a Doncaster maiden on debut so we'll side with COMPLICIT. Paul Cole's yard are in fair form at present, and as a half-brother to a Jersey Stakes winner, it was no surprise that the veteran handler tried to nick a Listed event with him on one of his regular sorties to Deauville. Two Shades Of Grey may have finished a little closer at Beverley had he been in receipt of a clear run. Lucy Parsons is a half-sister to a juvenile winner over six furlongs and David Barron's filly is one to watch closely in the market on her introduction.
