Verdict

Only Orsenfoolsies has been a credit to Micky Hammond this term, and having dotted up in a three-runner affair at Pontefract, the five-year-old is entitled to go close. Tracy Waggott is never afraid to run two in a race and BRIGHT APPLAUSE looks the pick of her pair. The gelding is a previous course and distance winner, and having dropped back down the handicap, he can utilise the assessor's leniency under conditions that suit. Maybeme is no stranger to glory at the North Yorkshire track having scored over a shorter trip last month. Should Muffin McLeay oblige in the previous race, there's every chance that the odds about Neville Bycroft's mare will shorten significantly. The handicapper appears to have Love Marmalade in his grip at present, and Satanic Beat probably needs a little more give underfoot to show his best.
