Verdict

Good ground or easier suits Wigwam Willie, who can return to winning ways at a track he enjoys, while Demolition, Hurlingham and Collateral Damage are all in with a shout. The selection won from a 4lb lower mark on good ground here over c&d last month and was not far away from today's rating over a mile last time. Kevin Ryan's runner is a consistent sort who has proved he can handle this sometimes tricky track, and he looks a solid selection. Tim Easterby applies the headgear to Collateral Damage for the first time here. He would prefer some cut in the ground and is better over a mile, so we'll take him on. Hurlingham also sports blinkers first up and has not been tried beyond a mile very often, but he did show that he stayed at Hamilton last year. He's a very interesting contender from this slipping mark. Demolition's sole career success came at this trip on fast ground, and he wouldn't want it any softer than good, but if the rans stay away then he'd have definite claims here if the selection can't hack it off top weight. Vicious Warrior is another on a dangerously low mark and as a c&d winner who goes on any ground he is very much respected, but we prefer Wigwam Willie.
