Verdict

Last year's winner, Dubai Dynamo, has gone off the boil since beating Osteopathic Remedy and Ardmay at Thirsk last month and this is much tougher than the race Frontier Fighter won at Pontefract on his penultimate start. Beacon Lodge has leading claims on his best form but it's becoming increasingly difficult to predict when he'll produce it while Hi There couldn't cope with a 9lb rise at Haydock last time and has so far proved best over 7f. HIT THE JACKPOT has yet to show his best for David O'Meara but ran well for a long way over 1m2f on his latest start and this drop back in trip may well see him get his head back in front.
