Verdict

PERTUIS is one of two course and distance winners in the field and has gone well on all starts in this grade this season. He's consistent into the bargain and the booking of Megan Carberry will aid his chance considerably as she looks better value for her claim by the day. Emulating is of interest back to a mark of 72 and Northside Prince was a clear cut winner of a lady amateurs' race at Musselburgh last time and should give supporters a good run for their money but the fascinating one is Bossa Nova Baby. She failed to build on her maiden Newmarket third behind subsequent Ribblesdale Stakes winner Riposte last year when disappointing on two further tries but debuts for Peter Chapple-Hyam, receives weight all round and could be on a very lenient mark of 68.
