Verdict

Shaun Harris has done a remarkable job with the 10-year-old Fathom Five in conjuring three wins from the veteran's last four starts. Sprinters in form are dangerous to oppose and he'll feature highly on most short-lists. Captain Scooby, only two years his junior, was only a length behind when the pair finished first and second at Chepstow this month, however, and has a strong chance of reversing placings on 6lb better terms. CADEAUX PEARL responded well to the first-time application of a hood when coming through to score at Catterick last time a shade cosily. He could well follow up off a 4lb higher mark over his optimum trip if the headgear is as effective second-time around.
