In depth

Verdict

Plenty of these are going well at present but GEORGE ROOKE can improve on a commendable effort last time in a competitive Goodwood handicap. He's been placed on all five starts this term and the manner in which he stayed on late on the Sussex Downs last time suggested that this return to a mile will suit admirably as he is not ground dependent. Dubai Dynamo should deliver his usual game and honest account but Jodies Jem looks the main danger under George Chaloner, whose claim will come in very handy. He's a steadily progressive sort who looks ready to strike while Border Bandit can't be ignored after a fine season, although he's certain to find matters tougher off this new mark. Bartack also warrants respect for the O'Meara team in a competitive affair.
