Verdict

HERE NOW AND WHY's performance on his racecourse debut is enough to secure our confidence for the opener ahead of newcomers Chifah and Saucy Girl. The selection readily chased home a subsequent winner on fast ground over distance at Leicester on debut and shaped as if he'll be very useful. Kevin Ryan's charge showed plenty of natural speed as you'd expect from a son of 2005 July Cup winner Pastoral Pursuits. Chifah is bred for a career in the sprinting ranks, related to plenty of winners at this discipline. The bloodlines also suggest she should be good as a two-year-old. Saucy Girl will also find sprinting her forte based on her family tree. Her dam was an unraced half-sister to very useful sprinter Watching so she has chances. Mister Manannan may eventually want further but has some pedigree over this trip in his favour while Whippers Love was disappointing in a hot race on debut but is entitled to go better. As always with so many unknowns we advised a check of the market but even so Here Now And Why has solid claims.
