Verdict

There are many in with a shout here and only a tentative vote goes to Nelsons Column over the likes of Campanile, Musical Magic, Stumped and Benandonner. Experience could well be the deciding factor here, and with that in mind we shall look to Nelsons Column to finally break his duck after a string of placed efforts as a juvenile. He has not exactly set the world alight in two runs this term but should be plenty fit enough, and so is given another chance. Campanile was a promising fourth at Newmarket on his debut last autumn and if she is anywhere near ready a big run can be anticipated. Musical Magic is another that shaped well at headquarters when ninth behind Illuminise in April, while Stumped and Benandonner also both caught the eye there on their respective introductions. Zaif and Kinvara Lass are just two more southern raiders to note in a contest which really is a bit of a guessing game. With that in mind, only a very small vote goes to Nelsons Column who will hopefully make experience count.
