Verdict

Tom Dascombe won this last year and Marmalad will improve for his run at Haydock where he showed good pace for a long way. Revolutionist, who was well supported in the same race, started slowly but stayed on nicely and will also be better for the run. Special Venture didn't perform badly in what could turn out to be a strong York maiden while the 70,000 euros colt Under Siege is related to several winners. ROOSSEY made a reasonable debut at Doncaster and was sent off favourite over this track and trip on his next start but found Via Via too strong. The winner was well beaten in a Listed contest last week but the remainder were well behind and the Newmarket raider looks the one to beat here.
