        In depth

        Verdict

        Captain Midnight has shown good speed on stiffer tracks so may do better here while Ambiance was in touch for most of the way over 6f at Newbury. Bandolier wasn't too far behind the very useful Thunder Strike at Doncaster while Zac Brown showed plenty of promise at York. Rae Guest's speedily-bred newcomer Minley is one to note but the form pick has to be SEARCHLIGHT, who started favourite on his debut over 6f here and looked the winner until outbattled close home.
