It looks like it could be a good day to catch FOSSGATE right, and the dual course and distance winner is taken to go in again here, while Promise Maker is a clear danger. The selection has now dropped to a mark of 50, which is lower than all six of his career wins, a pair of which have come on good ground here. He won't mind whether the ground dries or even if there is rain, and the first-time blinkers may well be able to galvanise his first win since taking this last year. Promise Maker was a fast ground scorer here a couple of months back in a selling handicap and has been thereabouts in two recent runs at Catterick over this trip. With quality thin on the ground here for punters this consistent performer is feared. Veronicas Boy may not stay and is proving expensive to follow, but Baizically is back on a decent mark now and provided it doesn't rain too much may well be able to make the frame in spite of top weight. Choctaw Nation is an interesting Irish raider who stays this trip well and won't mind any juice in the ground, but Fossgate can come good once more.
