Verdict

This handicap contest pits some horses with decent pedigree against each other and we side with Sir Michael Stoute's, TIMELESS STRIDE, ahead of last time out winners, Masked Dance and Kelly's Eye. Sir Michael Stoute has a 33% strike rate with three-year-olds at Ripon and with Timeless Stride winning at Nottingham recently we expect more from this horse. He is also favourably weighted and should run well. Masked Dance can produce some nice runs on his day but would need to defy a mark that he has yet to win at. Running in the cheek-pieces once more should help and therefore he is not ruled out. Any market movement for this horse could be telling. Kelly's Eye comes here with course and distance form after comfortably beating Besty last time. Although likely to pose a danger, carrying an extra 6lbs for that recent win may put paid to his chances. Our preference is for Timeless Stride.
