WING PLAY is the form pick in the race and is taken to win again at the expense of Distant Memories and Granstan. The selection has done nothing but improve this season and has not been out of the first two in his last four races. He won on the all weather at Lingfield back in June and proved his well being while winning at Sandown last time out. He is now six pounds higher as a result so more improvement will be required, but if recapturing his recent form he will prove difficult to beat. Distant Memories is seven pounds higher for his latest success, but is still only lightly raced and continues to improve with race experience. The ground however will need to have juice in it as all his best form has been on heavy ground so any further rain will be welcomed from his connections. Granstan has been a model of consistency this season. He won at this venue back in May and caught the eye after finishing second to Bazergan at Beverley last time out so he warrants respect. Wing Play continues to improve and for that reason looks the percentage call.
