      Verdict

Very Far could be a smart horse in the making and can beat more experienced rivals such as Choreography, Colton and Rigat. No one can pick holes in the current form of the Godolphin inmates, unlike a couple of months ago, and on the evidence of his debut victory at Windsor a fortnight ago, Very Far has much more to offer. He took a bit of time to warm to his task at the Berkshire track, but once into full flow, he was always going to score. His trainer revealed that he had been slow to come to hand as well as experiencing niggling problems, so they can now make up for lost time with this promising individual. If he does oblige here under topweight, connections can make some grander plans, and we shall take him to prove too strong for Choreography who to be fair has done nothing wrong of late. Successful in each of his last two outings, the Dandy Nichols inmate is another on the up-and-up, but it will be interesting to see whether he can defy a 6lb penalty in this company. Colton has also doubled up this term, but needs to step up a gear, while Rigat had the ultra-disappointing Mashaair behind when opening his account at Thirsk a month ago, and is out to underline the merit of that dubious form. River Kintyre is another that has taken time to mature, and so, as many are in the same boat, we look to Very Far to progress again.
