Verdict

Bold And Free won a seller by nine lengths at Beverley last month and should stay the extra here if handling softer conditions. He looks the pick of David Thompson's pair but races off the same mark as LADY OF YUE, who was also impressive when successful at Pontefract three week's ago. That was the latter's first run since June so she can be expected to improve further and should take all the beating. Vicky Valentine won over 1m4f at Newcastle last month and, though probably a couple of pounds too high, can play a part and makes more appeal than the disappointing Montjess.
