Verdict

HORTENSIS has the form and experience behind her to break her maiden tag at the expense of Ingleby Exceed and Paragons Folly. The selection has been improving with race experience and was not beaten far in a handicap at Catterick last time out. Connections have found a race that will not take much winning and if she can reproduce her best form she will be difficult to oppose. Ingleby Exceed caught the eye on her debut at Thirsk but ran below par when well beaten in a better contest at the same venue last time out. She has had time to recover from her latest outing so if fresh and well she can bounce back to form. Paragons Folly has only performed moderately in his two runs to date and will fair better once he is handicapped. Hortensis is the form horse in the race and looks the percentage call.
