        Verdict

        Ahlawy arrives here in good form and can land this Lady riders' handicap at the main expense of Fossgate and Emperor's Well. The selection won well last time and should have scored previously in this type of race when he was left with too much to do by Serena Brotherton and he was beaten by Regal Sunset. He again has ground conditions to suit and he can take plenty of beating. Stablemate Emperors Well does go well for a lady pilot and there is no doubt he has the ability to go close. However, we feel he may have to play the role of bridesmaid this evening and he looks a solid each-way bet. Fossgate was a fair third behind Fisher Bridge at Leicester last time and the drop back to this shorter trip should suit. Shotely Mac is a model of consistency and could prove best of the remainder, but for the winner we are happy to stick with Ahlawy.
