    Verdict

GOLD BEAU has been knocking on the door in similar company lately and this looks a bit less competitive than the handicap at Carlisle in which he finished second last time. Kristin Stubbs' charge is preferred to the mare Adiator, who isn't certain to be suited by the drop back to 6f. Idle Warrior made a promising start when only beaten a neck at Doncaster when a subsequent winner was behind. But there is a question mark over the merit of that form as the winner has been thumped off a mark of 57 in a handicap since. Dennis may need the experience but looks best of the rest.
