Verdict

Course specialist Broctune Papa Gio won this in 2011 but is 4lb higher than his most recent victory at the track. Thirsk winner Ingleby Angel has a further 9lb hike in the weights to contend with as he bids for a hat-trick and stablemate Grandorio carries a penalty for last week's eight length success at York. The latter makes most appeal of that pair and Ginger Jack is another likely to be thereabouts after a decent fourth in a higher grade race last time. THE RECTIFIER posted a good effort when fourth at Haydock on his recent reappearance which bodes well for his chances in this. He was winning off a mark of 105 last year so gets the vote to return to winning ways having tumbled down the weights since then.
