Verdict

Again, this is a tricky race but, as with the previous race, given that a high draw might be more favoured, we'll opt for Trouble Mountain, but also bear in mind Market Avenue and Uno Mente. The selection wins in his turn and did not run too badly in a more-competitive contest at Chester last time. Given that he is rated four pounds lower now than for his Beverley win last April, his chance is there for all to see. Uno Mente now finds himself back on a winning mark, while Market Avenue should also go well as he is now rated two-pounds lower than when scoring at Chester last July. Of the others, Trance won on the all-weather last time but has a bit to prove back on Turf, while Latalomne is better known as a chaser these days. Jimmy Byrne has been raised four pounds for dead-heating at Newcastle last time, and might find a couple or more to outbattle him today. Olivia Rose comes here in good heart but is now rated five-pounds higher than when scoring at Nottingham on soft going last time, ground that she might favour these days. And Escalade is well handicapped based on his 2002 form and indicated on his latest outing that he he could be returning to form. For today, though, we will side with Trouble Mountain.
