          Verdict

          Encounter is undoubtedly well treated at present and has started the campaign well. However, he is yet to win beyond seven furlongs and he has a little to find with Six Pack after their meeting at Thirsk last month. Therefore a chance can be taken that Thwaab can continue his resurgent form on a course he always goes well at. A straight mile and firm ground are ideal for him and he could still have plenty to offer at this level, despite his advancing years.
