In depth

Verdict

There was plenty to like about the way The Terrier came through to win over course and distance 11 days ago and she is fancied to boost her paddocks value further; possibly with the most to fear from Don't Tell Sue and Stoneacre Boy. The top weight, Luckskin, also has to come into the argument, as his yard have done particularly well here in recent season. Any support for the son of Key Of Luck will be dangerous to ignore. Stoneacre Boy has improved with each run and holds solid each-way claims in this company. However, he may be ready for a crack at a trip beyond the minimum distance and he may be done for toe near the finish. Don't Tell Sue goes well with a bit of cut in the ground and hails from a yard that can do very little wrong at the present time. This half-brother to six furlong winner Mission Man has not be overly burdened from his current mark and he looks a viable alternative to the selection if the market suggests she is vulnerable in her first crack at a handicap. However, The Terrier lived up to her name when she squeezed through a narrow gap to score her last time and, from a mark of just 68, this half-sister to the versatile Falcon Hill, she has been given a chance to shine at the weights today.
