Fieldgunner Kirkup won this off a higher mark in 2013 and can figure if any rain gets into the ground. But Lady Crossmar was well beaten at Doncaster last month and remains 9lb higher than her win at Wolverhampton in September while January's Wolverhampton winner Reggie Bond was upped 10lb for that success. The Fibresand at Southwell is not ELLAAL's favourite surface so his recent poor effort can be ignored. He has every chance on a short-head defeat at Hamilton last term and Ruth Carr's charge gets the nod ahead of stablemate Favourite Treat, fourth here in October. Barren Brook and Royal Preserve are others with a shout.
