      Verdict

Game Lad is the most exposed runner in the field but should be good enough to land this modest contest, E Bride and Restoration look the main dangers. Tim Easterby's colt has performed with credit in both maidens and handicaps, and his most recent effort when second to Knock Bridge off a mark of 73 sets a decent standard here. E Bride has shown promise in maidens at Pontefract and Nottingham and there should be more to come from James Given's filly. John Gosden has a good line to juvenile form so his newcomer Restoration has to be given every respect. He is bred in the purple and should be noted for any market moves. Telegram Sam is from an in form yard and may prove best of the others, but if any of these deserve a victory it is Game Lad, who is given a confident vote.
