Ben Haslam's Tia Juana ran better when chasing home Belle Noverre at Hamilton last month and has every chance racing off the same mark today but it is hard to get away from CROSS KEY, who gets the vote ahead of Chicane. The William Haggas-trained filly is unexposed after just three runs and she could be of interest on her handicap debut off a mark of just 70 having run promisingly in a Goodwood maiden last month. James Given's Marjury Daw has run to a consistent level of form and should be thereabouts again but she seems a shade high in the weights at present. Micky Hammond's Kathlatino is another that races in the grade for the first time and she cannot be discounted but it is hard to get away from Cross Key. Richard Fahey's filly stepped up from her maiden form over sprint trips when running out the good winner of a Hamilton handicap over a mile last month and she can follow up that victory over today's even longer distance off an 8lb higher mark.
