Verdict

A feature of this is that it's generally won by a lowly weighted type and Willie Mullins has been successful in three of the last four. Paul Carberry was seen at his best on Il Fenomeno here on Tuesday and a 6lb penalty isn't certain to prevent Noel Meade's charge completing a quick double. Foildubh is back over timber for the first time since scoring at Tipperary in October but looked as though a long season had taken its toll when tailed off behind Sprinter Sacre on Tuesday. FAHAMORE was attempting to concede Acapulco 10lb when beaten just over a length at Cork last month which was a tremendous effort as the winner followed up in an even tougher handicap here on Thursday. Eddie Harty's progressive hurdler looks the one to be on here though another six-year-old, Byerley Babe, is also progressing at a rate of knots and must be on the short-list.
