Verdict

While the likes of Abbey Glen, Magnum Force and The Real Tyson have experience of fences and First Impressions was still there with a chance when falling on his chasing debut, it will be a big disappointment if one of the newcomers to the bigger obstacles doesn't take this. STONEMASTER, rated 148 over timber and placed in several Grade events, looks a high-class recruit and is taken to make a winning start. He twice finished a long way in front of On The Way Out over hurdles in the spring but this is a completely different discipline and the latter shouldn't be discounted. Fists Of Fury ran well for a long way in the Grade 1 Sefton Novices' Hurdle over an extended three miles at Aintree and this full-brother to Cooldine has the pedigree to have a big future at this game.
