Torn Asunder, a winning point-to-pointer, has been progressing nicely over hurdles and won nicely over this trip at Down Royal. Carsonstown Bridge, who finished third, won on Wednesday so the form looks strong. Alasty looked ideally suited to heavy ground when runner-up to the in-form Happy New Year over the C&D last month and a 3lb rise looks manageable but Rockyaboya looked better when sent over fences and though well enough handicapped here that's where his future lies. PLAYING won a handicap at Clonmel on just his second start for Tom Foley and though beaten twice subsequently he's back over this trip and is given the vote.
