In depth

Verdict

Twilight Star is the obvious one here and the son of Green Desert gets a ready vote of confidence to see off the likes of Pearl and Meynell. The last named is an interesting contender and should have no problems with the drop in trip. As with several others runners on the card, she will be worth noting in handicaps and should be kept in the notebook. Pearl ran a fair race in her solitary start last term and has been given plenty of time by her connections. She is well worth noting in the betting. However, Twilight Star does stand out as a likely type to be sharper for his recent debut and, as he looks sure to improve for the step up in distance, he makes the most appeal today.
