It wouldn't be Pontefract without a low grade cavalry charge to round off proceedings and LA CAPRIOSA rates as a token selection with Hotham, Miss Daawe and Select Committee respected. The filly seems to thrive on her racing and with Jeremy Glover enjoying his tenure as the salaried trainer to Paul Dixon, this filly may be well drawn enough to take a hand in what is a modest contest. The locally trained Monte Cassino seems best of the rest. Plenty of plausible winners and without reference to the market, La Capriosa gets the vote.
