Verdict

Spanish Fork won over hurdles last month but along with Byron Blue, Maid Of Meft and Blackstone Vegas, had been well beaten by JAWAAB at this track in September. That was over a slightly shorter trip but Philip Kirby's charge still gets the vote to land a hat-trick despite niggling doubts concerning the soft ground. Tarantella Lady has struggled since winning at Redcar in June and Madam Lilibet has also failed to figure in a couple of starts of late having won twice over 1m4f earlier in the year.
