    Verdict

Dakota Rain appreciated the return to this trip when successful at Nottingham and he gets the vote to win again ahead of the other recent winners Choysia, Riquewihr and the perennial slow-starter Brigadore. The selection has only encountered ground like this once before when he managed a decent third but it was the drop to six furlongs that seemed to really stoke the fires up last time out. If he reproduces that run then he may take some beating from a good low draw. Choysia has appeared to be at his best on a quicker surface so whilst he handles cut, today may not be his day. Of more interest is Riquewhir who scored well at York on desperate ground and with similar ground today, he can put up another good show although a 6lb penalty may be enough to dull his chances. Bid For Gold shouldn't be underestimated, along with Soto although he likes to dominate which may not be easy from his high draw. Digital and Inca Solider are both fairly consistent but don't win too often, and so we will return to Dakota Rain as the selection.
