    Verdict

Kevin Ryan's Safebreaker is bound to be popular with backers having been running consistently well since the turn of the year but he has paid the penalty at the hands of the handicapper for that consistency and he may have to settle for a place again with preference for AFRICAN CHEETAH, who gets the nod over Addwaitya. Chris Wall's gelding has done little wrong of late but he struggled off this mark at Folkestone last time and may do so again. Roger Charlton's Classically won his maiden at Kempton well enough last time but this is tougher and of more interest may be recent Wolverhampton winner Black Rain, although he is seemingly better on the Polytrack than on turf. Tim Easterby's Bollin Dolly has shown improved form of late but another 2lb rise for her latest effort when second at Redcar looks harsh and of more interest may be Danehillsundance, who is unexposed over this trip and ran well when last racing over it. The vote though goes the way of Mark Johnston's African Cheetah, who should appreciate the drop back in trip having seemingly just failed to stay 1m4f in his last two starts.
