Verdict

FAIR SPIN may have his quirks but he knows where the winning line is here and he can land his ninth career success. Micky Hammond's ten-year-old ran well here last month when fifth to Lava Lamp and this mark of 50 looks within his grasp. Smugglers Bay is well-handicapped but out of form, this stiffer test of stamina will suit Winged Farasi, whilst Dan Buoy is an aggressive front-runner who should not be given too much rope. Ultimate Quest is back from a break and interesting despite proving costly to back, and along with the consistent Rare Ruby and the recent Redcar runner-up Finellas Fortune is considered.
