Verdict

Spruzzo has just the one victory to his name since landing this in 2011. Rock Relief is fresh from hurdling but is 5lb higher than last year's win on the Flat at Newcastle. Rockawango was tailed off over 2m2f here the last time he competed on the level and Scribe has done all his winning on the all-weather so far. Tartan Jura has leading claims despite a penalty having returned to winning ways at Southwell last week but a chance is taken on NEW YOUMZAIN. Lightly-raced for his age and back on a winning mark, a change of surroundings may have freshened him up and he's taken to make a winning start for Micheal Appleby.
