In depth

Verdict

Denbera Dancer - a brother to the top-class Rumplestiltskin - is fancied to know what to do at the first time of asking and is preferred over Gentleman Pirate and Ebn Reem, while Captain Jacksparra is an interesting newcomer to take notes on this time around. The last named swapped hands for 90,000gns as a two-year-old and has obviously caught the imagination of his connections. He has the pedigree to make an impact as a three-year-old and it will be interesting to see how his career unfolds after this. Ebn Reem sets the standard in terms of experience and anything that finishes in front of him is in for a mark in the low eighties at least. The son of Mark Of Esteem comes here on the back of his career best effort and he will be very dangerous to rule out. Gentleman Pirate ahs also dropped a couple of significant hints that he has the ability to win a small prize and is worth keeping tabs on in the betting. However, Denbera Dancer has breeding to die for and, assuming that he has similar attributes to his illustrious sibling, it will come as no surprise to see him take the hurly burly of his debut very much in his stride before going on the better things in due course.
