Verdict

It's three years since DARLEY SUN won the Cesarewitch by five lengths for David Simcock but, in fairness, he's been set some very stiff tasks since joining Godolphin. He was beaten less than a length by Ajaan in this last year and can end his losing run now under Mickael Barzalona. Last year's November Handicap winner Zuider Zee comes out best on official ratings and was fourth in the Queen Alexandra Stakes at Ascot in June so should have no problems with the trip. He's certain to go close but recent Yarmouth runner-up Petaluma has a bit to find at the weights and winning hurdler Lieutenant Miller isn't one to rely on.
