Verdict

YAA WAYL gets the verdict in this trappy nursery, with Shibhan and Lava Lamp among the potential threats. Lava Lamp will be suited by conditions here and the stiff 6f should hold no fears. Mark Johnston gives him his fifth start and while he has failed to register a win just yet he has a very solid profile to bring to this contest. Clive Brittain got a win out of Shibhan in this sphere at Chepstow in August and she is now 3lbs higher, having been a beaten market leader at Lingfield last time. The drop back in trip on this particular track makes her of interest again today. Trip and ground suit Reeds Bay, who should remain competitive from a mark of 80, though winning again looks a tougher proposition. Monalini may have been over-estimated by the handicapper, while Frontline Bay will be of more interest if backed on his handicap debut from a mark of 75. Kakapuka was staying on well here over 5f last time and is well worth a try over this trip. He could go well at a price, but we'll side with YAA WAYL.
