Verdict

Hard to be enthusiastic about such a modest affair featuring a sextet of questionable types. Apart from Richenda Ford, whose sole training success this term came with Somerby who lines up here, Jamie Snowden is the only yard in the contest to have sent out winners this season. His representative here is Soutine who may well make it 13 for the stable in the current term but he is asked to concede weight all round. He has every chance of doing so if transferring some reasonable hurdling form to fences but that's a big ask over 3m2f around here. Therefore, SOMERBY is taken to land a second success of the campaign for both himself and his trainer. He looks more solid, reliable and consistent than his rivals and that may just suffice in such a low-key affair. Laughing Game pulled up last time but is not ruled out on some fair staying efforts around here in the past.
